WHO WE ARE

The Federal Medical Centre Abeokuta is more than a 1000-bedded regional specialist hospital which came into existence on 21st April, 1993 with a philosophy of excellence in the provision of medical services to the gateway state of Ogun and other neighbouring states and nations.

However, over the recent years, the scope of this philosophy has gradually expanded to further encompass excellence in training and research, so that today we can rightly say that the hospital stands on a tripod of excellence in research, training and health care service delivery.

MEET OUR MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Prof Musa was born to the family of late Alhaji and Alhaja Imam Musa of Ile- Olomu compound, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.

He attended both Nawair-ud-deen Primary and Secondary school- the former at Oke-Ijeun and the latter at Obantoko in Odeda local Government area of Ogun State. Prof Musa later attended Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta (now MAUTECH) for his Higher School Certificate.

In his quest for further studies, Prof Musa proceeded to study Medicine at the University of Ibadan and obtained MBBS
degree in Medicine. He had his Residency training in General Surgery at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan and
obtained the prestigious fellowship certificate of West African College of Surgeons.

He joined the services of Olabisi Onabanjo University/ Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in 1999 as a
